Drain Snakes VS Sewer Jetting
Many people ask us if sewer jetting is better than a drain snake. The short answer is YES. The long answer follows:
- ♦ Snakes cut through gunk (professional term) and “snake” a pathway through the drain. A snake “corkscrews” through the blockage. A sewer jet unclogs and cleans your sewer line with water pressure of up to 4000 PSI, flushing your lines of blocking debris.
- ♦ Snakes have the ability to change out between two dozen different heads depending on the blockage situation. A snake has four heads.
- ♦ Our sewer jet comes with 500 feet of hose. Snakes have a limited range of 100 feet at best. Depending on how far you have to go in your sewer lines, this may not be long enough to reach the street when necessary.
- ♦ A hydro jet can push or pull the debris, depending on the clog. Snakes only pull like a corkscrew. We have experienced situations where you do not want us pulling what we find into your home. Sewer clogs are messy and often smelly.
Sewer Jetting works. With our jetting camera we can also see what is creating the blockage and clean your lines.
